The Secular Humanist Anthem
My pick for a Secular Humanist (or agnostic, or atheist, or just plain sensible) anthem:
Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one- John Lennon

LOVE this song.
yeah that would be nice, however he was just a dreamer. I live in the real world
I live in the real world too. And?
I think John Lennon was more realistic than most people, he just also happened to be idealistic.
Yep. Here in the Real World, people try to emulate him. Wonder why that might be.
The real world that people live in includes some many social constructions that differ from group to group that one must ask what perspective do people apply to their reality.
